IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2012 – 2013
Hutto ISD’s Plan Year runs September 1st through August 31st.
The ANNUAL ENROLLMENT will take place in the Spring. Representatives from Combined Benefits Group, Inc. will be in your district to assist employees with your benefit enrollment. Please check with your campus office for the exact time and dates.
We highly encourage all employees to login to the enrollment system to make any upcoming benefit elections or simply to review your current benefits, update any personal information or change eligible dependents and address information.
NEW EMPLOYEES will have 31 days, from their date of hire to enroll. This applies to the Cafeteria Plan, Health Plans and Supplemental Plans. For questions regarding benefits or for assistance completing your enrollment, please contact a CBG Representative at 800-749-6458.
Once enrolled in the Cafeteria Plan, MID-YEAR CHANGES can only be made based on an IRS Qualifying Event.
Employees have 31 days after a Qualifying Event to make changes based on that qualifying event. It is the responsibility of the employee to notify your Administration Office of such changes.
If you currently participate in the Medical or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, you must login and re-enroll in this plan for the upcoming plan year to continue your participation.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT UPDATES
It has been MGM’s distinct pleasure providing the Cooperative’s Flexible Spending Account Administration for the past several years.
National Benefits Services,LLC (NBS) will be providing this administration effective September 1, 2012.
This change will affect your FSA account(s) in the following way:
- All manual claims for the run off period for the 2011 - 2012 plan year should be sent to NBS. The run off period is the time after the end of the plan year for you to submit expenses incurred during the2011-2012 plan year for reimbursement.
- All grace period claims should be sent to NBS. The grace period is an extra 2 ½ month period extended in 2012 for you to incur expenses and apply them to any balance left in your 2011- 2012 account.
- Any requests for debit card substantiation documentation you have received previously from MGM should be sent to NBS.
- Any manual claims for the plan year beginning September 1, 2012, should be sent to NBS.
